About me

The year was 1978, but I remember it like it was yesterday. My Dad had just brought home a 1962 Chevrolet Corvette and was ready to get to work on it. He was into project cars, but this one needed more work than ever before. He encouraged me, an 8-year-old boy with no real knowledge of cars, to help him get this car back up and running.

It was hearing that red Corvette eventually start up for the first time that made me fall in love with cars. Knowing that all of our hard work (mostly by him) and getting our hands dirty paid off was extremely gratifying. That slick, red Corvette looked incredible and ran even better, and I'll never forget taking it out on the open road with my Dad for the very first time. Between the cool fall weather and the rock and roll playing on the radio, it's a memory that I'll cherish forever.

I'm Tom, and I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. In fact, I still call this wonderful city in Douglas County my home. I met my best friend here in 1992, married her three years later, and now my wife Rebecca and I have three beautiful daughters. Aside from running this website, I've been working as a car mechanic for about 15 years now. I'm a firm believer that when you do what you love, you never work a day in your life.

I've been told that my passion for cars is infectious. With that said, I hope to connect with other car enthusiasts who want to share their stories as well. I'll be keeping this site updated with resources, stories, and much more for fellow car enthusiasts, and I'd love to hear what you have to say.
